About the author#
Soteris Kalogirou is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Material Sciences, at Cyprus University of Technology. He is also Chair Professor, Harbin Institute of Technology, China and Honorary Foreign Faculty Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He is a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, Founding Member of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts and Member of Academia Europaea. For more than 35 years, he has been actively involved in research into solar energy. He has published many books and papers in scientific journals, and is Editor-in-Chief of Renewable Energy and Honorary Editor of Energy, as well as an Editorial Board Member of 20 journals.
