Chemical sciences#
The Chemical Sciences Section covers all areas of experimental and theoretical chemistry that deals with the study of matter, its properties, how and why substances combine or separate to form other substances, and how substances interact with energy. The Section includes the interface with other disciplines for example appropriate areas of pharmacy, chemical engineering and materials science, where the research is primarily concerned with chemical aspects rather than clinical or engineering. Members perform research in academic, research and industrial institutions. Research in all areas within the Section is highly international and competitive.
